Ben Wickey is a New England artist, illustrator, writer, and animator. Born in 1995, he currently studies animation at the California Institute of the Arts, from which he will graduate in the spring of 2018.

He is the animation director for GOREY, a documentary about the last days in the life of Edward Gorey, and the illustrator of a new book about eccentric British musician Vivian Stanshall, The Illustrated Vivian Stanshall: A Fairytale of Grimm Art, written by Stanshall's widow, Ki Longfellow. Wickey is currently writing and illustrating  More Weight ,  a graphic novel about the Salem Witch Trials, and planning a stop-motion-animated adaption of Nathaniel Hawthorne's The House of the Seven Gables, starring beloved character actor David Frankham, as his CalArts thesis film.

Wickey lives in the cozy fishing village of Rockport, Massachusetts.
